Mob thrashes cops in Bihar after arrested youth found dead

An irate mob today thrashed the officer-in-charge of Dagarua police station, Nitesh Kumar, and four other policemen, causing injuries to them, following the recovery of body of a youth, who was earlier arrested for interrogation in connection with a case, from a pond today.

Police said here that the local people turned violent when they spotted the body of the youth in a pond.

Agitated over the incident, local people attacked the Dagarua police station and thrashed the policemen.

Police said policemen on the spot opened fire in the air to disperse the crowd.
