Bye-election to Chhattisgar Assembly on October 1

The Election Commission today said that a bye-election would be held on October 1 to fill up a casual vacancy from the Bhatgaon constituency in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.


An official press release said the the notification for the bye-electio would be issued on September 6 and the last date for filing nominations would be September 13. Counting of votes will be taken up on October 4, it added.
