Brijeshwar Singh gets 3-month extension as NHAI Chairman

Mr Brijeshwar Singh, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1975 batch (Tamil Nadu cadre), has been given an extension of three months as Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
An official press release said the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved the re-employment of Mr Singh in the position on contract basis for a period of three months from September 1 or till a regular incument takes over, whichever is earlier.
