Minor quake recorded in India-Myanmar border region

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, was recorded in the Myanmar-India border region, including parts of the North-Eastern Indian state of Manipur, today.


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the tremor was felt at 15.09 hours today and had its epicentre at latitude 25.2 degrees North and longitude 94.9 degrees East. The quake occurred at a depth of 93 km, it added.
