India, Switzerland sign Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement

India and Switzerland today signed a protocol amending the existing Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between the two countries.


Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee signed the protocol on behalf of India and Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey signed it on behalf of Switzerland.


Finance Secretary Ashok Chawla, Revenue Secretary Sunil Mitra, Chief Economic Adviser Kaushik Basu and Swiss officials Philipe Welti and George Marlin were amongst those present on the occasion.
