SpiceJet adds Madurai as its 20th destination

Low fare airline SpiceJet today said it would add Madurai in Tamil Nadu as its 20th destination with a daily flight to Chennai from September 27 that will connect onwards to Delhi and Mumbai.
"As we grow our fleet and induct the 22nd aircraft, we increase our presence in the South," Samyukth Sridharan, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Limited, said.
"Madurai is among the top three industrial towns of Tamil Nadu. It is the only airport in India serving six Lok Sabha constituencies. Also, known as the cultural capital to Tamil Nadu and host to the very famous Meenakshi temple, we are happy to announce Madurai as our 20th destination," he added.
