UPSC announces result of Civil Services (Prelim) Exam. 2010

The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2010 held by it on May 23, 2010.

The result is available on the UPSC website. The successful candidates have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2010, an official press release said.

It said the candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the detailed application form, which is available on the UPSC website.

Candidates have to download the form and send it to the UPSC duly filled in in their own handwriting for admission to the Main Examination scheduled for October 29, 2010.

A copy of Detailed Application Form (DAF) shall also be sent by Post to the successful candidates by the Commission.

In case any of the successful candidates does not receive a communication in this regard from the Commission by September 8, 2010, he/she should immediately contact the Commission.

The result of Roll Nos. 256401, 275422, 340989, 551300, 551460, 548579, 275875, 288037 and 402112, has been withheld, the release added.
