Paramilitary forces to be deployed for security during Commonwealth Games

The Government today said it proposed to deploy Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMFs) to provide security during the Commonwealth Games that will be held in Delhi from October 3-14.

Minister of State for Home Ajay Maken told the Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question that, in addition to the manpower available with Delhi Police, about 175 companies of CPMFs would be provided to Delhi in a phased manner from September for security of the Games.
