Ausuf Sayeed appointed Ambassador to Yemen

Dr Ausuf Sayeed has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Yemen, an official press release said here today.

Dr Sayeed is currently posted as a Joint Secretary at the Headquarter of the Ministry of External Affairs here.

In a separate announcement, the Ministry said Mr Ashok Sajjanhar, at present the Indian Ambassador in Kazakhstan, had been appointed as the country's next Ambassador to Sweden.

Meanwhile, Mr Virendra Gupta, the High Commissioner to South Africa, has been concurrently accredited as the High Commissioner of India to Lesotho with residence in Pretoria.
