Govt. to construct 100,000 houses for CPMF personnel
New Delhi, March 10, 2010
The Ministry of Home Affairs has proposed a mega housing project for the construction of approximately 100,000 houses over a period of four years for the personnel of Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMFs) through the public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken told the Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question yesterday that a provision of Rs 2 crore had been made for payment to the Transaction Adviser for the PPP project.
He said tentative locations, based on availability of land and housing needs of CPMFs, had been identified across the country at about 245 sites.
