Prabeer Kumar Basu is new Secretary, Agriculture & Cooperation

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mr Prabeer Kumar Basu as the Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation in the Ministry of Agriculture.

An officer of the 1976 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (Bihar cadre), Mr Basu is at present the Special Secretary in the same department.

He will succed Mr T Nanda Kumar, who will retire from service on February 28, an official press release added.
