Quebec Prime Minister visits Delhi Metro

Mr Jean Charest, the Prime Minister of Quebec, the largest province by area in Canada, visited the Delhi Metro here today to get a feel of the system.

Official sources said Mr Charest, accompanied by senior officials, first visited the Metro Museum at the Patel Chowk station and then travelled by train from there to Rajiv Chowk.

Mr Charest, who is on a visit to India, also met Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director E Sreedharan and other officers at Metro Bhavan and appreciated the cleanliness at Metro stations and the fast pace of construction of the Metro projects in the capital.
