Bye-elections to AP, Manipur, TN Assemblies on Dec 19

The Election Commission today announced that bye-elections to fill two casual vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and one each in the Andhra Pradesh and Manipur Assemblies would be held on December 19.


The constituencies are Tiruchendur and Wandiwash (SC) in Tamil Nadu, Pulivendla in Andhra Pradesh and Yaiskul in Manipur.


Notifications for the bye-elections will be issued on November 25 and the last date for filing nominations is December 2. Counting of votes will be taken up on December 23.
