IIT, Hyderabad offers Masters, Ph.D. programmes from July

The newly created Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad is offering Masters and Ph.D. programmes from July this year, an official statement said here today.

It said the Masters of Technology (M.Tech) Degree will be offered in five subjects and the Ph.D. degree in nine. Scholarships are available for eligible candidates.

Only on-line applications will be accepted by the Institute. The last date for applying for the course is 20th May, 2009, with the details available on the institute's website.

The M.Tech course is being offered in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

The Ph.D. course is being offered in the following subjects: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics, the statement added.
