President appoints SC judges

New Delhi, May 12

The President has appointed Mr Justice Deepak Verma, Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, and Dr Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan, Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, to be judges of the Supreme Court, an official press release said today.

The appointments, in that order of seniority, will be with effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices, it added.
